Wow, the car turned out great. I bet that cost a pretty penny. Car should be faster too, as the drivers wallet is now so much lighter.[Image: rolleyes.gif]

)) thats true... I have checked out the other cars too. It seems unreal. I was guite sure that the only way is to repaint the car but they seem to be able t fix many things. Pity they are far way.

Acording to their price list the seats would go for 75£ each... that is not the cheapest place.

Cool. I plan on doing all that, and naca ducts, and chin spoiler by summer. Then comes the suspension, and powertrain. Cosmetics are first up actually, and need to paint the 951 too. Ill get a better deal having both done at the same time, from my painter. Its a sickness I swear.

I will try to grasp what they are using for their work there.. they list most of the products in the descriptions but I believe that there is much of the skills involved too

The seat refinishing looked amazing - like new leather. I wonder if it will hold up.

Yes. A large part of it is skill. I bounce around on the detailer forums a bit and they always make it look so easy. So i went and got a good RO buffer along with a slew of products to remove swirls and correct my paint. The car looks better but no where near the level of correction the pros achieve.

That car looks awesome. What a treat it must be to open your car door and be greeted by those seats.

I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

Yes, they seem to use different products and work on different paint and they test the thickness of the paint. I think repainting the seats would be easier that making all the "swirls" and marks go away on the paint as they succeed.

That was a great link to view!

Truly amazing job on the seats, which makes me realize that I should be VERY happy with the "original" condition of my 17 year old seats.

Thanks to the care the previous owners had in not letting my 968 "sit and bake"! One of the first comments I get from any new passenger is the condition the seats are in. So the comment "What a treat it must be to open your car door and be greeted by those seats" is a very true statement!

Edit Note: the 968 has 85,000+ miles on it, so the condition is not due to the car not being used!

My seats look perfect like Jakes only they are heated sport seats

I would like to know how they can repair a tear in the seat permanently (if possible) though as my S2 has a bolster tear about 3-4 cm long.

The PO was a lady who wore pins in her dresses and scored the seat in one spot all the time.

I had my passenger seat redone, thnaks to Darryl's contact. It looks great. I also had the drivers side bolster done and the dye and it eventually rubbed off. So if you keep getting into your seat rubbing against the bolster it will rub off.

It is a little hard to get in or out of the car without rubbing the bolster. I think is is the same with all "bucket" seats.

The people at Leather Magic say their dye does not rub off and is better than the original. Anyone here tried their product?
