So I passed a milestone yesterday on the way to work and I thought it worthy of capturing and reflecting. First the milestone(s).
To remember from whence she came:
One for fun:
And the milestone itself:
Now the reflection:
I got this car in April and it had 14K on it. And its not my DD. Several times I've thought - this thing is so clean that it should be under cover somewhere. But then I think - I'm sure Porsche has a couple in a museum somewhere, right? Why should worry about this, and who said I was put on the planet to become some sort of half-assed automotive curator?
And parts are harder to get every year, so when this thing needs a water pump what will my options really be? And I'm getting old myself - there are too many things that I can't do anymore without significant pain - when will driving a stick fast be on that list?
So I put a brace on, and another, and wonder about fatter tires, and a chip, and maybe a cat back, then I put on my best running shoes, some gloves, fill it up with 91, and head off into the morning mist.
