Mid Atlantic Snow
#1

Looks like we are getting another 20" of snow on top of the 22" from the other day.
Just took these 2 minutes ago and it's still coming.

BTW, my car and driveway were clear yesterday.

I'm away on a business trip to southwestern Virginia. It's been snowing here most of the day, but not too much accumulation. I was supposed to fly to Charlotte, NC in a few hours to connect with a flight to Newark. That's not happening, so I'll make the trip tomorrow - hopefully. Fingers crossed.

Be safe, everyone.

I love the snow but this is nuts. The Land Cruiser has been holding up like a champ!

What a difference 4000 miles (and 17 degrees of latitude) makes...

Didn't take squat for pictures yesterday- had to work. Just spent 2 hours blowing snow so Kim could get out and go to work.

I'm pulling out the snow blower in few minutes.
Should only take 3 or 4 hours. And it's windy today.

I am so excited! I can't wait..

What's great about the wind is it keeps changing directions so it will blow in your face at some point no matter what. Had a ton of ice in my eyebrows.

rofl snagging a copy of that picture

I just saw on the news that drifting on the road where my office is located is so bad that two people spent the night stranded in their cars and were rescued this morning. Helicopters searching for other stranded people up there and the National guard is out as well. 4 Major freeways closed up there as well.

Me too. And if I want snow I'll just drive three hours to Tahoe . Gotta love this State ! But only from a climate / diversity standpoint that is.. the rest of it - cost of living, traffic, services, taxes, city and county politics, etc.. not so much..

Snow boarding, skiing, building snowmen, snowball fights, shoveling is a great cardio and upper body workout, the streets are pretty much clear to drive where ever you want w/o all the idiots on the road and the snow looks so peaceful. My glass is half full.

Kim- w/ 2 shepherds I'm thinking you better clear a path a bit further away from the house.

Come on...hate snow. Find a empty parking lot and do some drifting without f...ing up your tires.

Been doing that on public roads. I'm getting pretty good. My goal is that if I go off too far the snow piles will help me hold my line.

Over by you maybe, not over here. There is an order to stay off the roads unless you are essential personnel, they have helicopters out looking for stranded vehicles/people and the drifting has closed several roads and major highways over here. The national guard is out and they are struggling.

We had two feet of snow on top of almost 3 feet on top of 8 inches and the winds are still in the 20's so we are f'd at the moment. Go south and you are OK according to several people including my wife.
