Any of you guys near Maryland , Illinois or Kansas, among the three winners of yesterday's $ 650 million jackpot ?? And if so , are you keeping the 968 ? ;-) ;-)

But on to the real question : what would you do with THAT kind of money ?

Go to an attorney and set up the appropriate number of trusts to fund different contingencies and desires. Make sure no one knows you have won the lottery and spend your winnings, those that you choose to spend, away from your home area to maintain that anominity. Real estate, investments and perhaps cars!

If you won that kind of money, you'd have to disappear. Your life would be destroyed. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/ohmy.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

And the reason I would be perfectly content with a measly $ 20 mil jackpot, so I'm not even bothering to buy tickets if the prize is more than that, LOL

My wife won $2. Of course she didn't even tell me she bought a ticket, and if she had won a jillion, she STILL wouldn't have told me!

I wouldn't be able to disappear, anyone could find me by following the noise from the new Carrera GT I'd be driving home.

I would find a "... highly paid, industrious bevy of professional enablers in the private banking, legal, accounting and investment industries taking advantage of the increasingly borderless, frictionless global economy“. "

Yeah, and as far as what kind of car I'd buy with that kind of money, as much as I enjoy looking at the ultra-exotics, I can't see myself ever owning one, even if money were no object. I'd be afraid that driving around in one of those more or less screams, "Follow me home, rob me at gunpoint, then put me to sleep with the fishes." At most, I think I'd go for a new 911, although even those are looking so expensive lately. Honestly, I think I'd spend a small fortune on track time, hiring a private driving coach (or a team of them), a garage at the local driving academy, a really nice trailer (to take the track car to other tracks), and of course on the track car itself.

Easy answer....and you can't have one because of the problem 968Syncro highlights.

Certainly calling attention to yourself with new found riches is dangerous. Spend like a drunken sailor comes to mind. I read an article somewhere about a guy who was so proud of his new garage that he kept the doors open to show it off. Off went the lite bulb and my doors are rarely up and you can't look in mine. When breezeway gets down cameras will be installed to watch entrances. Like I needed a reason to be even more distrustful of those around me. Smart wealth stays low key and if it flashes it's wealth does it out of town so it's more difficult to see and trace. Can you say bodyguard.
