Looking for some recomendations
#1

This coming spring I am planning on doing some work and upgrades on 1993. I would like to know what others recommend for rear shocks, tires, what oil are people using? Currently has 20W-50 Castrol synthetic, but the owners manual says 10W-30 for a synthetic and 20W-50 for regular oil.

I'd run 10w-40 synthetic for your location unless you track the car heavily then i'd go with the synthetic 20w-50.

about tires : the larger they are, the more noise they become

at the rear : I have Uniroyal Rainsport 255/40/17 --> too much noise, no good overall performance

in front : I had Yokohamas 225/45/17 --> the handling was poor, they follow all axial rills

I changed the Yokohamas for Pirelli P-Zero Nero (best in german ADAC test)--> these are really superb.

The poor handling of the Yokohamas is forgotten. These Pirellis are very quiet and have good adhesive performance on dry and on wet road, combined with very good lifetime.

I don't have experience with the Goodyears Eagle 1 (good comments in this forum) but I don't like their pattern.
