Look what jr brought home...
#1

Imagine the look on my face when  Jr shows up with his wife on on Remembrance Day (Veterans Day in the US) driving a brand new Spyder (the Boxster version... NOT the 918... but still...).

It had been ordered back in March, but he kept it a secret. He is currently building a new house and doing his own contracting. Through his job as a heavy equipment operator, he has good access to all the trades required to get the job done (the house is nearly done). So his reasoning = I will save myself Cdn $100K by not hiring a general contractor, so I will pay myself by ordering a Spyder!

The Spyder has the 3.8 engine (rated at 375hp) and brakes from the 911, and the same front end as the GT4. This is one fun car to drive!!!

He had an Acura NSX until recently, and was an avid Honda person, so I never imagined he would become a P-car owner.

I did that with my house, but was unable to work a Porsche into the formula. In fact, I lost one to pay for the land in cash. (hard to get a loan on unimproved land) I sold my 66 911 for around 8k and you know what those are going for these days?

Ryan - my son sold his 91 Acura NSX to also finance the purchase of the land. In his case, he had bought it for $24K in 2009 and sold it for $42K last year.
