limited to 155mph
#1

I hear a few of the companies which had the engine cutoff at 155 are rethinking this self-imposed limitation for their upcoming models... makes sense - what would be the purpose of coming up with 500 or 600 or even 1000 hp cars

( Cadillac-16 for example ) if a 968 can overtake you <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/dry.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ( ok, that's EVENTUALLY, and just barely going by you at an extra 3 to 5 mph .. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ) .

A few, except BMW that is.. Why is that ? Pity, when an M6, theoretically capable of 190mph + cuts off at 155..

I wonder if the Hi Rev aftermarket chips limit speed? Guess I won't know till I try. What slows me down is pushing air. Need more HP.
