LImited Slip production numbers
#1

Sorry but I didn't know which category to put this question. Also did a search and couldn't find an answer so here goes - with the 968 register still closed does anyone have any numbers of how many cars were factory produced with the 220 option - limited slip differential?

thanks,

Carl

There were 2726 cars factory equipped with a limited slip differential out of an 11620 total (~ 23 %).

How would I know what the code for the limited slip is?

On that line, my trunk sticker shows:

G4400-10 is non <acronym title='Limited Slip Differential'>LSD</acronym>, G4400-20 is <acronym title='Limited Slip Differential'>LSD</acronym>.

Only 2726 cars fitted with <acronym title='Limited Slip Differential'>LSD</acronym> from the factory? That actually makes 220 cars fairly rare.

I heard the LSD option was only available on manual 968s, so not on any TIptronics . Is this true ?
