leather question
#1

Anyone know what part of the interior is leather. Assuming it is not a full leather optioned vehicle.

Seat sides?

Seat backs?

Door panels?

Armrests?

Center console?

Or is it just seat faces and steering wheel that is leather?

seating surfaces (the parts of the seat that your butt and back go on), shifter boot and knob, and steering wheel. everything else is vinyl

JUst an FYI. If you cosse to recover your seat Porsche does not make the new seats with a vinyl back. It is all leather.

Just for the anal people out there,( I mean me), the 2 side pieces on the central seat piece as well as the 2 side pieces on the center back piece are also leather.

The seat section is made from 3 pieces of leather, same with the back of the seat that you touch when seated.

If not on other cars, then mine must have been re-done.

if anyone can make it to 'Vegas Nov 1-4, it is the best experience a car guy can have with his pants on.

Search SEMA 2011.

Flash, call if yes. we can meet.

Boxers are for chicks ! Oops, misspelled ; what I meant to write is BoxSTers are for chicks . ;-)

Having said that, I did drive a friend"s Boxster S last weekend , albeit one with a significantly improved suspension and track alignment set up, but as far as overall feel and road feedback is concerned, it felt as close to driving a 968 as it gets. Not bad at all. Still, looks-wise hard to tell if tthe car is coming or going...just can't warm up to that style, but that' s just me..

At 6'2" I easily and comfortably fit in my 968. Can't say the same for a Boxster.

I,m just a smidge over 5'11 and the Boxsters seating space was ok. But it was a cab, and the top was off, so no idea if coupes are more cramped. ( Yes folks, I drove a cab, something I swore I would never ever do, or ever be seen at the wheel of one.. )

The only exception has been the flash mobile, but I make sacrifices for friends from time to time..
