Jager Engineering/Garage9
#1

Hello Everyone,

I'm a bit new to using this forum, but I've owned my 968 for about a year now, got the mechanics all under control, so now it is on to cosmetics. I've been looking at the Jager website for some of the interior accessories. Has anyone purchased anything aside from th gauge rings from this company? What was your take on the quality?

Please let me know!

Thanks all!!

Some time ago many of us found this company and got them to make the 968 injection rail cover lettering. They were very nice to work with and produced a great product. I have not purchased anything else from them, but after visiting their website, I see that they have added many goodies that look very interesting.

Thanks for bringing them back onto the radar and welcome to the site.

I have bought a few things from them. Their quality is very high. I got the CF dash trim kit recently and am very happy with it.

I have the PORSCHE letters for the fuel rail cover on top of the engine and am very happy with the product, the price and the service. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Thanks for the input. I could rack up a serious bill with them, so wanted to make sure first.

BTW, how does the lettering over the fuel rail attached? An adhesive?

Thanks again.

Yes, an aggressive adhesive. Instructions come with the lettering. One important note- the "H" has an orientation to it: an up-and-down. The letters need to be heated before application so as to maximize adhesion, and it can be a bit tricky using a heat gun on them without losing the orientation. It's been a while since I did mine but I do recall I had some difficulty there.

Be sure to clean the cam cover before applying the letters. Start with brake cleaner than a final cleaning with IPA.

Thanks for the tips......

That looks great! I was thinking about going with the aluminum dash kit....looks hart in the photos, just wish I could see one in person....

That being said, has anyone used the aluminum? I have wood right now, but I'm ready for a change.....

Hi,

Is it possible that you can take a close picture of the knobs on the heater control unit??

Cheers.

If you look in the picture I have the aluminum piece around the gauges.

I am going to replace this with the matching CF part.

The knobs I got from cupsport in Germany. I will try to get a picture this week.

Hmm, I didn't know a lettering kit was available.. I masked off the letters and shot them with semi-gloss black hi-temp paint. It looks the same as what's seen in Etnier's picture...

The picture may look the same, but the letters are raised with the edges tapering down on the edges. I did the paint thing before I found these guys.

The letters really "pop", they have a high gloss finish and raise up out of the cover.

If you get them you will be very pleased as to the way they look. It is hard to tell how some of these mods look in pictures, but this one is very different from black paint, even though they look the same in a picture.

I polished my fuel rail cover and painted the letters.

I think they also make a similar product for the Porsche script on the rear fascia.
