I really liked each of these back in their day. I know quite a few of you don't particularly care for Japanese cars. But with that a side. Do these cars still look good to you. The prices are ripe.
I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

I've always liked the SC430...but it isn't available with a gearshift - automatic only. Nothing wrong with a 500SL either...not sure whether a manual was available in those or not. Of course, if auto tranny is OK, then absolutely! It's just a shame to have that much car and not be able to really "drive it".

After I sold my 944 I was looking to purchase an SL500. I was looking at an SL500 at the dealer where I purchased my 968. The SL was a flop and for the fun of it I asked to drive the 968 since I had never driven one. I ended up purchasing the 968 20 minutes later. I still want an SL, I just have to buy the wife a fun car now that I've had several in a row. Then I'll be running out to get one.

SC430- love the interior, but the styling does nothing for me. not ugly, just boring.
A friend of mine now owns the SL6, Yes, the 12 cylinder beast. Funny it only puts down 385hp. Seems a bit low for 12 cylinders. Im also not impressed with the looks of this car either. The interior is nice and I respect the engine, but the styling is dated.
For all those that do still love the car or wanted one but financially couldn't plop down $115,000 now is the time to buy. Hard to believe how cheap these go for now.

The Mercedes:
I have always liked the SL. It's stylish and I think it ages well. If Porsche made a 928 convertible it would have been competing for the same customers as the SL.
The Lexus:
I like Lexus as a new car, nice looks and good value. But The way I see it Lexus will never become a classic or age gracelfully...the designs are to trendy and lack character.
