Introduction
#1

Hi. I'm going to be mostly reading everyone else's stuff for awhile, and getting a feel for the place. Eventually, if the economy doesn't get better (for me, rather than in general!) I may want to sell my car. I'm retired, living in Hawaii with my Honey and my Baby. My Honey is cute (for an old lady) and blonde. I've had her since the early 1990's. My baby is a '94 968 cab, silver with black interior, that I've had since 1996. Actually, my Honey picked my Baby. Enough said.

Welcome Al. Your baby (not your honey) is getting up there in years and some maintenance items you'll want to address will be time, not milage, driven. So you've definitely come to the right place to learn all about how to keep your Baby running in tip top shape. Heck, maybe your Honey as well. I'm always amazed at the amount of information I find in this here forum.

Jeff

once he's attained the member level with those permissions, the SHOWROOM is the right place (unless he needs to place an ad in the classifieds)

Thanks, Jeff. What I know about cars, mine included, can be fit in a thimble with my finger still in it. But I've tried to take care of the car, and although I don't drive much, it's been good to me for the 13 years I've had it. It still turns heads, and makes me feel a little younger when I drive it with something by Aerosmith, Led Zepp or AC/DC blaring out to the world. I can hear everyone jealously thinking 'what an old idiot'.

Right. A quick, easy way to increase my already overextended calorie count.

I promise to get a picture (or 2?) up at some point. Probably take me a month to find the right place.

The car has about 89K on it. I don't think it has anything optional, although I did replace the original gear-shift lever with a black one that doesn't indicate the 'double-H' of the shifting mechanism.

Thanks for your interest!
