hello,



i had found a 968 that i would like to purchase from the U.K. but i need to import it to the U.S. , was wondering if anybody has done this and what the process was like and a rough estimate. does germany produce all porsches with the safety standards the the U.S. Requires?? i was told that i would have to change all the glass and seat belts??? i didn't think that sounded correct.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a recollection of somone doing it and it cost them somewhere in the region of $15K for DOT, EPA, etc -- plus a lot of their personal time.

it seems as though i may not be importing this car over for by the time i got here and legalized it simply would not be worth it.
