Bob, definitely counting clothing in the inventory because of the significant ( replacement cost ) value of it. Watches are a must . We were burglarized 35 years ago and ended up way short on the insurance recovery, because I did not have the watches and my wife's jewelry's declared value on the policy riders. Fortunately we only had two or three watches back then which were not overly pricey, but still... I think we ended up more than $ 5 k out of pocket..
Philippe, neither does my wife's shoe collection, lol. It was the late 80s early 90s era of excess conspicuous consumption , I had a well paying job , as did my wife so we indulged ..overly indulged on some of our passions. Travel for her, clothing for me, restaurants for both. And since my passions have always been : women, clothing, watches, food, soccer and cars ( in that order ) guess which category my wife would have objected to my indulging in..:-) .so had to make that up by overdoing the rest.
