Dino,

Sounds good ! Speaking of casinos and pools we should do a 968 AC run. The rooms are cheap at Harrahs. The pool bar is awesome....

My apologies Patrick and the rest of you. I just finally snapped and it was done poorly. Never meant to hurt you Patrick, just badly executed on my part.

What a mind f ***!!!!!
Mark I don't even know what to say. Amazing!! Thiis after the pretty decent conversation we had very early Saturday before anyone was up.
When I figure it out I'll send you message via Jim Jones account. I don't know how nice or rude I will be.

(excuse my french mods, if you need to tack on warning points, so be it)

I've sent Mark a PM. I want everyone to know, my feelings are he should not be banned or leave the community. Anyone who has been around these boards a few years can understand his motives and frusterations. I mean we all come here to escape the crap in our lives, and what do we see when come here? (here being mostly RL and the old .net. Not to be confussed with "new" .Net) More crap and bickering.

I would also like to appologize to this small community for being involved some of the controversy over the years. Perhaps others could do the same.

I think Mark's intentions back fired in a positive way (I could be wrong).

My opinion is that Mark should not get off that easy...he needs to buy the first round the next time 968ers gather...then all is forgotten. I've vented a few times in my past (anyone, anyone, Petticrew, RL, Beuller).

Jay - it was great to finally meet you in person. I wish I could've stayed longer but I was playing in a hockey tournament & had a game in Scranton later in the day. Same goes for you Jamie - pleasure meeting you in person.

On the light side...
I had a great time at the Wine, Wine, Wine and Cheese reception ..
We would have welcomed 914 owners at that point.
We had a walk up couple just asking about Hershey . They had just arrived from Michigan and never been in chocolate town.
They had a 928 and 944 and liked features from both. The 968's really intrigued them, especially with SC kit.
I think we may have new converts to 968 community. Glad I didn't cast them away as infidels
They enjoyed the party, beverages, and awesome evening.
Hope they come back
Pete

Hey Guys,

I have to say I am a very quiet guy and don't like to bother anybody but I am really surprised at all this controversy going on would never expect it. I could personally care less if a Chevy chevette or even a AMC Gremlin parked next to me.
Anyway Jay is always good to lighten up the mood, good job Jay.

Dino, sorry about not getting together for the casino. Was up at 5:30AM to help set up with IMA at the swap meet. I can't handle such long days anymore. Next year we will have to plan on going. Ciao. A presto.

I'm just catching up on my reading, and saw this thread. Wow! I couldn't join you guys in Hershey because I was buying a used Boxster that day. Yes, I still haven't returned to the world of 968s. However, I must admit, I am enjoying both my 911 and my Boxster, yet I still feel like part of the 968 community. And for that I'm grateful.

Part of the pleasure of Porsche ownership is a shared passion for the marque and the sense of camaraderie that we find in our common affection for our cars and for each other.

As a 968er who is currently without a 968 at this time, thanks to all of you who have continued to make me feel welcome since I sold my Amazon Green baby with "only" 171K miles on it. It was my commuter car, and it needed to go to a home where it would be driven less than 100 miles a day. It was a great car.
