I'm outraged!!!!!!!!
#1

I ordered a bunch of parts from sunset imports. Both ups and sunset say it was delivered... and it wasn't. I was hoping to have my car together by next friday for florida and it's not looking good. Two packages were "supposed" to be delivered monday.. one from sunset and other from the coffee bean. Only one came. I'm so pissed. I'm debating just ordering it all again. If i can't stop the oil leak with a new valve cover gasket.. complete with new grommets then i'm bringing it to the p-shop. I'm sick of this. Damn... i just want to drive my car.

Should i wait for them to trace the package or just bring my car to a p-shop? This blows. F*&(ing hurricanes.. mess everything up.

that sucks - they should be able to figure out who signed for the package very quickly though

Unfortunately, the package was not signed for. I have no idea why? I assume they didn't need a signature... Does UPS require a signature on everything? I've had UPS-sent stuff just sitting on my porch before.

the overwhelming majority of UPS packages are delivered without a " signature required ", unless you specifically request it at the time of order, or the sender requires it for certain items..

Fed Ex's m.o. is usually the other way unless you indicate no need for a signature at time of order..

i know UPS does often leave stuff, but it is usually because they are used to you, or you have previously told the driver to do that - i would have to call them to find what "policy" is - seems to me that contractually, they would be required - i know that they have me sign that stupid electronic pad an awful lot, and i get tags telling me they missed me

fedex requires a signature unless the no sig box is checked

Well, since my dad's company is restoring all of the houses in the neighborhood, another shipment was delivered monday - this was a big one from UPS earlier. My package was 2 houses down with all of the other packages. Called Sunset imports to stop the trace, and all is well.

I smoked my car to the p-shop today, prior to finding my package, to have the oil leaks fixed. Since it's either a bad valve cover or a rear seal, i just said "Have at it.. oh, btw flush the radiator for me." I accidently put radiator stop leak in it on my journey back from Colorado. I was talking to the mechanic telling him the leak has to be one or the other. They quoted me $400 dollars to change the rear seal and valve cover. That made me v. happy. Now i just need new tires and all is well.
