I'm engaged!
#1

I've been out of the 968 loop for the last six months -- but for a very good reason. It's woman-related -- and I'm now engaged!

Her name is Rossana, she's Mexican (and has that crazy Mexican streak in her), and doesn't seem to mind the fleet of cars I have. Well... she hasn't quite had the chance to see the entire fleet.... so she might try to get me to reduce the fleet once she finds out. Anyways, we get along amazingly well and have absolutely no doubt that this is it!

I popped the question just yesterday -- and I had to do it in Spanish (one of her requirements). It was also our 6 months anniversary and her birthday! So I have one less anniversary to keep track of. And I got off easy on the ring because she doesn't like diamonds!

Tentatively, we're shooting for a wedding on 7/7/7 (see other thread) -- but we'll see if we can pull that off.

Hopefully, after I'm done with this whole wedding planning thing, I'm back wrenching and stuff again.

Well you had better start training her now to love Cars as much as you, nothing better than when your wife likes cars too (that's how you keep the fleet )

Congrats and good luck

Congratulations Joe! I married a Spanish-American girl from New Mexico in May of 1960 and my life has been a joy since then. Hope you have the same Good Luck, Bob Blackwell.

Thanks everyone!

She's been very tolerant of my fleet of cars as well -- so that's a big plus! But I'll have to negotiate on the motorcycle -- but it's the only vehicle I can leave at the airport for free.... Without it, my SF <-> LA commute becomes a nightmare. Hmmm....
