In another post we were talking about cats that sleep on our cars. Well here is the culprit in my household.

OK so the photo was right side up in the folder that I pulled it from, why is it upside down here. Do we need to to rotate everything 180 degrees before we upload?

It's an anti-gravity cat!? There's no guarding against *that*! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

I've never had to edit anything before posting, other than I try to shrink everything to keep the size down.

Wow, a feline hanging on the ceiling! If it lets go, will there be a cat-astrophe?

So, can any of you wise guys tell me how a photo that was right side up in the file that I pulled it from is upside down when posted here. I can figure out if there is way to correct the post either.

Some cameras store their orientation when taking the shot in the jpeg, and then some (but not all) image programs follow this information to display the image correctly.

My guess is that the program you use on your computer does this, but the software that 968 Forums use does not. The fix should be to manually rotate it 180 degrees in your favorite image editing program and then upload it.

Copy, save, rotate clockwise, rotate clockwise, re-attach...

If you use windows, you can preview in Windows Explorer and make your changes there. The forums software isn't doing anything to your file...

Nice, I'm glad I'm not the only one with 5 cats. Ours are all feral rescues as well -- two found dumped outside our house, one from a dog shelter, and the other two are lodgers (ie. rescued and neutered from the neighbors).

And then there's the 5 dogs....

And once again, as if we needed more proof of the formidable character of our forum members ..few things more admirable in this life than animal rescue .
