My late '94 exhaust tip has a rolled edge and was painted black. I wire-wheeled the black off and polished up the stainless. Looks great!
Wait - I just remembered my exhaust, while it is stock, is not the original one that came on the car. When I was getting my PPI done, the shop just happened to have a pristine 968 exhaust gathering dust in their shop - what are the chances?! - so I picked it up for a hundred bucks to replace the rusted-out RS Barn exhaust that was on the car when I bought it.

Mine is polished and not hard to clean using just Adam's all purpose cleaner, but doesn't stay clean long. Within a couple hundred miles, the bottom half of the opening looks "sooty." Is this something to be concerned about or a bad indicator? I don't see any smoke in the exhaust and am not noticing any drop in oil level. I intended to take a photo and start a separate thread, but maybe this one can take a short detour.
