New member from the Netherlands
#1

Hi,

I am a new member from Holland, i collected my 968CS yesterday. My first Porsche was a 944 (about 20 years ago) and the
first drive in the 968 brings back some memories of the 944; i also own a 964 and i must say the difference in driving compared with
the 968 is very big !! As soon as i have some pics i will post them.

Welcome aboard. When you say the difference in the cars is BIG, Do you mean good big or bad big?

Welcome! I never knew a town like Hendrik ido ambacht existed! If you are not already a member, make sure you register on www.porscheforum.nl. We have a pretty active group of 968 owners (on both forums ).

Welcome to the Forum. Good to see more "dutchies" in the group.
I need to get over to "the old country" (as my parents would say) and visit with the 968 "cheese heads"! It has been about 12 years since I last was in Holland, so I guess it's about time again. The wife's parents (Jansen) are also from Dutch background.
Have any of you ever been to the PORSCHE event in Interlaken, Switzerland? I just saw that on the interent yesterday and it caught my attention because the last time we were in Europe, we also spent three great days in Interlaken. Seems like a fantastic place to have a PORSCHE meet. I remember riding mopeds around the lake arae and up into the hills. Would love to do that in a PORSCHE someday! I wonder... what it would cost to ship a car to Europe? Crazy idea... maybe not! Thanks for all your replies !!! Johannvb, i already am a member of www.porscheforum.nl for quite a few years and i try to add & to read posts as much as i can.

Ryan (When you say the difference in the cars is BIG, Do you mean good big or bad big?) i don't know exactly for the moment because i drove not enough time with the CS to compare but at the first drive with the CS i immediately noticed the difference in noise (the CS is quiet !!) and a difference in power. I have done quite a few trackdays with the 964 so i know the limits of the car (and mine....) but i still have to find out what the CS is capable of; the first week or so you always need some time to know your new car. I would never say the difference is bad big, my 2 cars are both Porsches so what more could i wish for.

Welcome! 968 CS' must be like fine wine this week. Someone opened a crate of them they have been saving for 15 years and now they're everywhere. I might not sell my baby but I would kill for a Yellow CS this week to sit next to it (and maybe a 993 Targa if we're dreaming)
