it is LHD as we drive on the right here, (although i am in the left lane all the time

there is one piece of 968 in Slovakia , in Czech republic there are two of which i know, and one of them has total 890 000 km and still running like hell , only head gasked change needed...

yesterday i met current owner and took a quick look at the car, and short drive...

it has 220 000 km

water hoses looks like new, they have been replaced, the owner said..

brakes are new OEM

battery is new

17" wheels + 16 winter porsche wheels are included

car was imported to slovakia from Germany 2008,

Paint job was done in Germany some time ago - the paint is literally as new, i dont know the reason of the paint job, but no welding signs anywhere

about the rust: on right fender, where direction light is located, there is about 2mm sign of ruist under paint, also on top front of the hood, there is some sign when you lift it and take a look from the below , but nothing serious ...

some pics:

Netopyer.

You need to reach a number of post before pictures will work (I think 5). After that you should select "More reply options" and attach photos from your computer.

Thanks,

Jay

today i bought it , i am very happy, although some minor disappointment came when i exclamation mark and ABS light on the dash appeared after first 30km when driving home... also, the fuel gauge has very strange behavior .. i will post photos tomorrow

Lots of info about the dash warning light and fuel gauge here. Try the ADVANCED search on the top right (little wheel).

Thank you, yes yes, i was not trying to ask for solutions in that post, it was just informative..

i have read that the fuel level sender likes to fail, i will take look at it, but ABS light bother me more , i will search and hopefully solve the problem by less than price of whole car

Hello netopyer and a BIG Welcome to the forum. There is plenty of great information found here and on Clark's Garage.com. Try the link below for the Fuel Gage and Fuel Sending Unit problems.

now about my first inspection:

something started to sing in rear left wheel. i tought it was a little stone between brake disc and brake disc shield, but it wasnt. fortunately, my kind GF borrowed me one of their lift for a while, so i disassembled it a bit, and at the end i figured out, that there is some mess inside the handbrake-used drum brake. i was not able to remove the brake disc, because little screws whose hold the disc on hub, were in really bad condition and i was not able to unscrew them.... anyway, i solved the problem through the hole in brake disc

here is me, messing with it (part of the introduction )

Some questions and notes.. : are those flaps which direct air to cool front brakes stock? because it is a very nice idea...

i noticed that i am missing some cover on flywheel area , because i can see the flywheel through a hole - i will cover it somehow

My friend told me, that my car is lowered when he saw this:

so i took a look on the suspension, and althought it was pretty dirty , i found that the dampers are yellow which seems like aftermarked KONI suspension to me

i am sorry if i am too long

Welcome,

The car in the last pictures looks lower than stock but just because there are aftermakrket konis does not mean it is lowered. I also replaced my shock with the koni ones but it did not change the ride height. After I replaced the front springs to CS verions and lowered the rear by adjusting the eccentric it looks similar.to yours. Do the rear shocks have coilovers?

The ABS could be as simple as to much dust in the toothed gears or between the sensor on each hub.

Enjoy the car
