Added a 968 to the collection PNW
#1

I purchased a RHD cab from CT and its on its way to Seattle. I've always been a 914 owner and my wife and I are the membership chairs for the Pacific NW Region of the PCA. I need to figure out what's wrong with the HVAC fan as its not operating. I've been told its impossible to get parts for these cars and I hope that's wrong. Guess I'll find out soon. Car should be here in a few days.

Yes, some parts are just not available. Other parts are very hard to find and can be expensive.

But, anyone can drive a boxter...not everyone can drive a 968, especially a RHD oneSmile.

Probably the fan speed resistors. Not an uncommon problem.

You will be surprised just how much is available direct from Porsche, sometimes at not very pretty prices

But I think you will doing some Australia and UK shopping for parts

Check the alternator cable as one of the first maintenance jobs. They can fry your car

The 944 from I think 87 on, shares the same dash so I would think the HVAC parts should be shared and available from dismantlers as well as NOS.
