Karrera Coupe out of Charlotte NC awaiting his 968
#1

I am awaiting my 1994 Grand Prix White 968. I recently bought it from a PCAer up in NJ and will shortly fly up there and drive it home.It will join my two daily drivers: a 87 Diamond Blue Metallic 911 Carrera and a 1991 Saab 900 SE Turbo Convertible.

I am a South African American that only discovered classic car ownership  and Porsche about 4 years ago. I tinker with my cars and try to keep improving their niggles and resist their wear and tear, always staying as close to stock as I consider sensible.

I look forward to learning a lot from other 968 enthusiasts. Thanks for having me.

Oh my, this isn't going to end well, the minute you install a performance chip you will be on a slippery slope Smile

Enjoy your ride!

Thanks for the welcome. I have now had this great car for about 2 weeks. Drive down from NJ to NC was a great introduction.

I have since had the timing belt, water pump, tensioner,  idle rollers and engine mounts replaced. I replaced the aftermarket wheels with the original wheels after putting 4 new Contis on them.

This past weekend my son and I replaced the door handle gaskets.

The previous owner was very good to me when he included a number of body seals and the original radio into the sale. This long sought for car is taking shape very nicely. For my purpose the condition is perfect - a great driver with enough small issues to keep me occupied over for the next few months.

Now I just have to figure out how to load a photograph so that I can start showing it off.
