welcome scottfarm!  I assume your maritime
blue CS made the trip from the west coast ok?

There is a FAQ for new members that I think you will find useful.  Mostly everyone here has had these kind of issues at one point or another. At least you won't have the electric hatch motor, rear wipe motor issues.   Simpler is better when it comes to old Porsches.

p.s. you may find it useful to register your car at 968register.org   Jeff provided some very interesting stats and info about my car when I registered my 968.

snova;

Thanks , the car is not here yet, it may be a week or so, so i am patiently waiting.  I have already been doing some research on the 968, as I have never owned one.  I have a 944 Turbo, so I have some knowledge of that model.

It should be fun to get to know the car.  I do most work on cars myself, so a good knowledge base is essential.  I look forward to being a part of this forum.

Welcome. Enjoy your new car. Think shipping might be a problem?

Shipping seems to be pretty much on a normal time frame.  Car should arrive later next week.  Waylander, thanks for the offer of the service supplement.  I don't know anything yet about service literature for the 968.  does the supplement cover just items that are different form a standard 968?  I assume there are factory service manuals for the 968 that can be found?

Welcome!  When this corona ordeal blows over, maybe we can get together?  I'm ITP (inside the perimeter).  Cheers!

PoshGG, would be great to do that.  Just got the car yesterday.  Drove the car, ran well, and seemed very tight.  It does corner very well, even on the older tires it has on it.  I will take som epics and post them soon.
