Hello from Driven
#1

Hello all. I bought a good looking Cobalt Blue 1993 model 968 Coupe about 6 weeks ago as a retirement project and have started on the journey to get to know all about it at first hand! First step has been to change out all the oils & fluids, give it a good once-over and order all belts, rollers, variocam pads & chain, and a new DME relay. Waxoyl underneath will happen soon, if it stops raining long enough to get it to the specialist garage! Home is Derbyshire, UK, which is about as central in UK as you can get. Lots of good driving country around here in the gentle hills and dales of the Peak District and much more further afield throughout UK, just as long as you don't need to commute to work on a regular basis.

I look forward to participating in and learning from the forum, and hopefully will meet some of you fellow 968 owners along the way.

Best Regards

Driven

Welcome,

Probably should add the heater control valve to your list, along with the rubber cap on your clutch inspection port, and you may as well fix the leaking power steering hose on the passenger side .

While you're looking, the the caster blocks at the back of the A arms are probably cracked (the rubber around the connection) and in need of replacement .

Good luck !

Jay

Stupid question but is there a quick fix for the leaking power steering hose? I did the normal "tighten it as much as possible" but it still is getting the better of me.
