Hi everyone, I bought a 968 (speed yellow cab tiptronic) last year - I fell in love with the model when i saw one at a local classic boat show a few years ago ( I know it was a boat show but there was also some great cars on display too !). When i 1st saw it i scratched my head to think what it was before seeing the badge - i could not honestly remember seeing a 968 cab before. I was hooked from that day & when my 50th birthday came & passed in not quite the manner i had planned, i knew when the circumstances allowed i would seek one out for a belated present to myself.
I have been very happy with the purchase despite some initial teething problems - i would have preferred a manual but apparently there are only about 6 cabs in NZ so i went for this tiptronic when it came up. I only had it about a week when a gentleman stopped me after parking & asked whether this was the new model porsche were selling ! I have lost count of the number of oh's & ah's the car has generated since.
I live in Nelson NZ, which is top of the south island & a very sunny place, just ideal for this car.
So, just a quick hello from me, a fairly recent convert.
