New.. But not new!
#1

Hey all! Some of you might already know me from my 944 time..

I had a really nice 944 with a 3.0 16v Turbo in it, making 643hp/761NM.

But 3 days after the car was finally done, it burned down due to most likely a leaking powersteering pump (I installed an electric one).

Just 3 days later, I was called by my tuner with the question; Do you remember Frank? Yes I do was my response, knowing that he passed away 5 years earlier on cancer..

His 968 was still in the garage with his wife..

So I got her number and a view days later.. We agreed on me buying it! Ofcourse the story is a lot longer, but the main reason for her not selling it sooner is that no one with the proper heart came around before. The story around my car with my history (also knowing Frank as I met him a view years earlier when he sold me his Turbo Cup flywheel that was on my 944)

Last Saturday I picked up the car, washed it yesterday and will have some regular maintenance done next week as I really have no time myself (we just bought a house).

Most of you that are here 5 years + will know Frank under his forumname Dimma. Which referred to the Peugeot 205GTIs he used to have.

The car is currently a very nice 968CS that Frank converted in the exact way I did my 944, so the only thing I am allowed by myself to do now, is to continue his legacy and move to territory that Frank and myself wanted to go, but where not a lot of people went to;

An 800+hp 944/968

My old engine survived the fire and is currently being waterblasted.

When that is finished, Ill upgrade the block to have the piston oil squirters and insert M14 headstuds to allow for more boost.

Ofcourse Ill need a new turbo; Ill get that from Emanuel Galosson (Voodoo turbo) but Ill reuse my header and intake manifold.

The only item Im not sure about is the intakepath. There are already 2 intercoolers on this car; and AWIC and a FMIC.

If the 2 of them combined csn handle the 800hp, that perfect, otherwise Ill move to water/meth injection.

Let me know your questions if you have them! Smile

Also, if anyone can tell me how to add pictures, let me know as I have no idea..

Welcome,

I moved your status from Newbie to Member, I hope that makes it easier for you to post pictures (usually it takes 5 posts). If not, just type in 5 quick posts and I'll hide them later.

It is a fitting tribute that the car sold to someone with the right heart to own it, we wish you luck, very sad for the loss of DIMMA (Frank).

Great to see that Franks car is still alive and in good hands. I met Frank twice in the past at his home. I was impressed by his 205 an also his beautifull cbx.
