Hello from Calgary
#1

Hello All,

My name is Bo and I'm a Canuck living up in Calgary. The car is a 94 Iris Blue Coupe with a 6 speed and light grey interior. Has the 993 sport seats (larger bolsters), 17" cups (16's have blizzaks on them and a set of 18" speedlines are sitting dismantled in the shop waiting to get refurbished).

Unfortunately the car needs some quarter panel work and well with kids and life etc. I have had it tucked away for the last few years. Up until then I have always done all the work myself from timing belt, variocam pads, replacing clucthes, removing torquetubes, rebuilding brake calipers blah blah blah.

No real mods except I have done the airbox mod and machined my own trim rings from aluminum I had kicking around. No K&N, chip, exhaust or suspension. Oh and I guess there was other mod, which has since been removed, and that is I converted it to run on natural gas (CNG) for a while, as a bi-fuel though so I could always flip back and forth back to gasoline whenever I wanted - part of some R&D work and learning experience kind of thing.

Cheers!

Bo

Welcome Eh! I know we don't really say that but I do it for out American hosts, I love a good stereotype!

CNG has to be an Alberta thing where fuel runs cheap? I have to trade higher fuel prices to live in the 'best place on earth", well, that's what the license plate says anyway

Lots of good technical info here so be prepared.

Welcome from another Canuck living in the "best place on earth"!

Hope that you can make time to getting your 968 on the road again!

Have you seen the yellow 968 Turbo (after market) that Eric Dumas (president of PCA - Wild Rose Region) has? I saw it in September at Parade 2010.

Thanks Gents!

DaveN - Definatly plan on digging in to see what I have been missing over the past few years.

Langely968 - I haven't seen Eric's "Motec Monster" in person just what I have seen in videos and posts in different forums. I do hope to make out to some of the PCA events this year though.

Tim944s - Yes I finally made it! Thanks for the heads up!

Cheers!

Bo
