Greetings everyone! I'm a young '87 944 turbo driver from Detroit, MI and I stumbled here thanks to rennlist while trying to research the possibility of installing a double DIN head unit in a transaxle Porsche. As a big fan of all the watercooled models, I'm also here to take a look at 968s and possibly buying one when the time is right.

Welcome

I am in the process of switching from 944 (sold 2 months ago) to 968 (bought recently, but as it's imported I have to go through some bureaucracy to be allowed to drive it). So far I don't regret it for a second. I think neither will you

Thanks everybody! one quick question though: I don't seem to be able to post anywhere else, even in this forum, so does this mean I need to up my post count in here before heading off to other places?

Do it. The 3.0 litre w/6speed will make you grin while you put your neck back into place. Buy a cabriolet if you can find a good one. I did, and no regrets. It runs just fine in the rain, and in the summer with the top down it can't be beaten for fun!
