Greetings all. I'm a new member from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Current 968 - None. I'm doing research to find a 968 as a potential replacement for my beloved Miata and Talon.

Look forward to meeting some folks, all the best.

Welcome! The 968's are great Porsches but somewhat female in their tempermental nature... They do take a bit of extra care and feeding, but all Porsches do. If you are up to it I say go for it! Nothing like wailing into a sharp turn, and realizing the car will go faster thru it than your butt wants to!!!

These cars are not drag racers, but their handling more than makes up for any lack of straight line performance... besides, who wants to aggravate the cops these days???

I personally would not use one as an everyday driver, but they are super as that 2nd fun ride!! Good luck in your search!

Seriously, 968, whole new ball game. Find a well maintained one and your in for some serious fun especially with all the goodies you can add to the car.

Welcome from "out West"!

A Miata is a lot of fun to drive, but it is in a completely different league than the 968...

Thanks for the warm welcome folks! The Miata was fun but could have used 50% more HP!

Any tempermentalness the 968 might have doesn't bother me. I think the hard part will be finding one I'm looking for a Coupe with LSD in the GTA. Will keep my eyes peeled...

Welcome. I have a coupe with LSD and it is great. I have been on this forum for a few months, and it is a wealth of information.

Happy motoring and good luck in your search.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your search. As a current owner of a Miata, commuter car, and former owner of a Talon, you'll be thrilled with 968 ownership and it will be a very different experience. I've owned my '93 LSD coupe for about 5 years, but had to go to Detroit to find it. It was worth the 2300 mile trip because it was well maintained and had the hard to find LSD.

Cheers,
