Hi all,

I do have a problem. A cold problem now during the cold in wintertimes.

I searched the archives but could not get the answer I needed

The heater is getting warm. You can feel it at both pipes of the heatexchanger inside the car.
So there is no air inside ot whatever. HCV is full open.


But there is no warm air coming out of the vents.
The fans are blowing but when I used the defrost and footwell slide switch they seems not to function.
Why? because there is no ventilation in the footwell or either it change from direction etc.

I checked the solenoids, they have vacuum etc.

What could it be?
It seems very unusual that the system is stuck into the cold position. Normally it is build to get into the full hot mode.

Any thoughts?

Could be many things i guess. Do you get heat if you change the mode (def, flr, vents)? An air bubble could get trapped in the heater core (in dash). I think (may be wrong) there is a "blend" door that mixes cold/hot air, it could be stuck.

check ounder the hood for vacuum problems. The small line that operates the fuel pressure regulator is in the same line as the a/c control head. make sure you are holding a vacuum.

I believe there are vacuum lines that actuate vacuum motors which open doors to allow air to circulate. 92's are a little different from 93 & up. If you have a catalog, look at illustration 813.

Vacuum isn't the problem. I have that inside. measured 0.2 bar vacuum.

Air bubble is not possible I think. This because the heater always worked fine and I did not have any leaks or so. The level is for a year now the same.

It must me some of the internal flaps what is stuck. ............................................

Further investigation learned me that there is an electrical problem.

I disconnected the cable and now I have warm air in the car. So there is a problem with the panel from the heater. The electromotors don't get there signals.

The fuse is in good condition so there must be an other issue.

I think I have to pull it out.
