I upgraded to the Sylvania Silverstars. I am pleased with the improved lighting. You can find out more about them
I think those would give a unique/modern appearance compared to stock? Meaning when they are turned off during the daytime.
Well, unique, yes. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I'd like to cast my vote that they look a bit crappy, and at $89 how good could they possibly be?
In other news just in, claims have been made that headlights are used to illuminate the road at night. We are unable to ascertain the accuracy of these claims at this stage. If these claims are true, people may choose headlights based on performance rather than bling factor!
Are you saying that most "mature enthusiasts" choose function over style. I think that the headlights on these cars look like crap and I would even sacrfice nightime vision for an improved look. I'm at home putting my kids to bed at night anyway...The cheap price does raise a quality concern, that is why i'm looking for feedback right?
Well, no idea where the 'mature' bit came from, but like flash, I can't see that changing the appearance of the light itself will improve the overall look of the car. Yes, the lights on our cars are unusual, and maybe Mr Porsche could have implemented them better. What I do know, is if you swap the plain looking headlights for those fake projectors, you will concentrate attention on a weak point of the car, not take it away.
Personally, I wouldn't change anything on the car that didn't result in a functional upgrade. Sacrificing night-time vision for looks is unwise IMO, but I guess plenty of people do similar things to their Honda's...
But hey, it's only $89 - buy some and try it out. Post photos, maybe I'm wrong? Wouldn't be the first time.
