Happy Thanksgiving
#1

For those that celebrate, Happy Thanksgiving. Although much is wrong and can be criticized, we take a day off here to give thanks for the union that allows us to live without rockets raining down upon us. Special thanks to our troops everywhere!

Syria and TURKEY ( see, how easily I made a thanksgiving reference here ? ) were nearly at the point of raining rockets on one another as well , so yes we should celebrate our day off here at home where the only fire is in the oven slowly cooking that bird...

(Hey, I have an idea, maybe we can use this thread to discuss the politics of the Pilgrims vs the Native Americans, and also blend in a discussion of what the peace pipe was in the 1600s, and if it was legal or not!) <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/whine.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

As I've said before, this year we're going to do a historucally authentic Thanksgiving - we're inviting our neighbors over to a feast, then we'll kill them and take away their property :-) . What ?!

we added an extra 36" oven to the kitchen a few months ago, and are going to break it in with a bird. we have never done turkey day here, so it seemed like a good idea. in laws coming over. going to eat way too much food, and try like heck to avoid the sleepy/drowsy thing, because i plan to work on some tuning this afternoon.

Given that I live in California, the odds highly favor both of those points..
