Hampton Roads, VA Shops
#1

Hey guys. Uncle Sam is moving me once again. This time to the Virginia Beach/Norfolk/Hampton Roads/Chesapeake/Portsmouth, VA area. I see there's a couple guys from the Forums there already. Might be that I finally see my 968 next another one! But, I need to find someone who is reputable, fair... and won't freak at the D1RSC when he sees it. Anyone want to vet a mechanic? Thanks!

I missed your post last month. Anywho, we are lucky to have one of the best right here in our area IMO.

The owner's name is "Lutzo". Tell him "Pat" with the black 968 coupe set ya!

Awesome! Thanks for the info. We were in town this past weekend (in the Jag, not the 968) house hunting. We still have several months before the move, but wanted to not only get a sense of homes, but neighborhoods and school districts. We are really liking the Park View area in Portsmouth. Lots of restored historical homes - victorians, coachmans, etc. I see there's a couple of guys in town. Any meet-ups ever planned?

Yep. Been at work for a couple months now. Soooo busy. This is actually the first time I've been on the forum in quite a while. I took the car into the shop a month or so ago. Saw a 968 with that 944 rear hatch replacement that makes it look like a early-70's Vette. Then saw it again heading into Norfolk Naval Base a couple weeks later. No idea who it is though.

Welcome back! Can't say I've seen a 968 with a 944 hatch on it before.

Yeah, it's a very diffferent but cool looking hatch. Back when I had a 944 (15+ years ago), the rear hatch glass was getting loose and I was considering replacing it with that hatch.

I live JUST outside of the base. We should do coffee or do a detail day or something like that sometime.I think there's a couple other guys in the area. I'd have to go look on the Member Map to remember who...
