GTPorsche Oct. 2010
#1

Theres a nice article about the 968 cs in the october 2010 issue of GTPorsche. The downside is that the retail price of this magazine is 10 bucks.

I think I have the last one they did, a few years ago now. Also a 968 CS. Is it white? AFAIk, thats all theyve mentioned over the years really, the CS. Wish theyd talk about the TS. Id pay ten bucks for that. I dont think it was much cheaper a few years ago either. Maybe 8.

Did not find it at Borders or Barnes & Noble yet, but expect it will be there soon so I'll keep an eye out for it.

$ 10 - yikes, at this rate, it'll only be a few more years before the rising cost of these mags and the declining market value of our cars' graph lines intersect..

Local Chapters store still had the September issue on display. I will have to wait and see if the Oct edition is "worth its weight in gold"!

Got it. Nice article. And true in most respects, IMO. However, as for the fold-out page caption... which calls it not just "one of the best" but categorically " THE BEST SPORTS CAR ON THE PLANET " ?

Sure, why not.... we all already knew that, right ?!

LOL, that's the only reason I spent $ 10 on the magazine...the centerfold is already quasi-laminated ( placed inside transparent plastic sheets ) and on the wall in my garage !!

and here is a photo of the foldout with caption ( a bit tough to read the print size on this screen, I had to resize the photo so it can be uploaded )

<b>I got ROBBED!!!</b>
Well... if I buy a magazine on my own accord, can I say that I was robbed?
But... $14.50 CDN would make anyone yell <b>"I got ROBBED"!!!</b>, especially when the Canadian dollar is basically at par with the American and the cost in US is $9.99 while the Canadian price is set at $12.95 (plus taxes = $14.50).
Having said that, the article was a great read and the pictures are VERY good. I even like the black color of the 968CS!

Someone who has bought the mag, please clarify something for me: was there a "real" pull-out (loose) OR are you referring to pages #44 & 45 as a the "pull-out"?

Cheers!

definitely not a pull-out ( too bad..) so you pretty much have to press as hard as you can to separate the pages enough where the center does not leave a very distinctive gap in the photo continuity, but no way to take them out without destroying the magazine

Still havent picked up a copy yet. Ive been meaning to. Id be buying it just for the center page. If it ruins the mag, meh oh well. Id pay 10 bucks to put that on my wall. Of course, yes we already knew it was the best.
