get ready to pay more for less

People may say Trump is a windbag, but he has managed a successful worldwide empire for decades. Yes, he has slid downwards at times, but over all he is by any standard, successful.

The man has tapped into a quiet rage of people who are sick of carreer politicians, milking the system and creating rules that don't apply to them.

I say give the man a chance. We have done far worse in the last 6 years with more to go and this country may never recover.

If Trump wins, I predict he will transform the republican party into something it has not been before. I think he may just pull it off. The Deomocrat model of entitlement has never worked. It creates sloth and hate.

I laugh at people who say everything they feel and, yet bash someone else who does the same.

I say what I want. If someone doesn't like it they are free to leave me alone. I don't have time for tact and I really don't care of I offend anyone.

Everyone is free to have their opinion. I have mine and I don't really care if anyone agrees with it or not. This is why I don't usually comment on this sort of stuff or the board in general anymore.

I don't seem to fit the mold...Whatever.

lol - he went bankrupt not too far back.  it's nice he can dodge his responsibilities, wash the debt, and start over again on somebody else's dime.  i think that makes him perfect for washington.

Washington cannot be run in a similar way as one ( a CEO ) would manage a business.  It simply does not work on any comparable platform or business principles, and never will.. no matter who is at the helm.  You can elect any captain of industry and no matter how successful they may be in that domain, they will be completely ineffective in D.C. if trying to accomplish anything with a business M.O.

Like it or not, the two most successful presidents in the last half century, ( Reagan and Clinton ) regardless of whether you measure success by economic, or political , or by the most bi-partisan agreements criteria, have accomplished much of that by their inspiring personalities and charm.  And sure, also by surrounding themselves with incredibly competent staff.   But that's what a leader needs most to be effective in Washington, more so than intellect , sad to say..   Hilary lacks any of those qualities, and  as for Trump.. well, he's so obnoxious if Mother Theresa or Gandhi would be alive they'd both pimp-slap him :glare

The fact that otherwise seemingly intelligent people can even think of Trump as a serious candidate leaves me with little hope for our species.  And shouldn't the phenominally bad toupe alone be enough to disqualify him?

P.S.  Just for the fun of starting a s**tstorm around here:  "Bernie Sanders"

What seems to be forgotten is that the main skill required to become president is "excellent campaigner".   This skill has only a small relationship to the candidate's qualification to actually perform as the president.   We also make a big mistake by using the term "run the country" or "manage the government", whereas our language should always be "serve the people".  I wish there was a way that Obama (the man of the people, the community organizer) could remember his job is to serve the people; then we would not have to deal with the horrendous fallout of his self appointed coronation.

In other words the system is very sick, dysfunctional -- that is why there are absolutely no stand-out candidates anywhere to be found.  And that is also why -- once again --- we'll have to vote by choosing who is least undesirable.

Don't think he declared personal bankruptcy but he did bankrupt one or two of his companys. The current village idiots seem to be trying to bankrupt the whole country.

All of the village idiots are currently working in the stock market, over-reacting to any little sneeze or fart that happens in Greece or in China ( albeit a larger fart, but stil, nothing more than a fart . ) and f-ing up MY 401 K value ! The country is already bankrupt , but IT can afford that, WE , the " little people " on the other hand, can't ! Sorry, just venting ..

Bernie may be ok, but let's get real - the guy looks 100 + years old , and the White House would need way too much formaldehyde to preserve him for four years, so not sure anyone would vote him in no matter how qualified..
