So I'm gonna get a gauge panel under my stereo. Right now I got that square clock thing which I don't really like.
What I'm thinking about is a round clock, an oil temp gauge and the third I haven't really figured out yet.
The clock and oil temp gague I've already found, I'm choosing VDO most likely. But I have a couple questions.
What is the diamater and threads of my oil drain plug? I'm going for a drain plug with a temp feeler in it.
And what would you reccomend to put as a third gauge in a normal 968?

I have no experience on how a Vacuum gauge works, but I'll read a little up on it.
I'll also check out that 3 hole plate, I know Design911 has them too.

I've now decided on a vacuum gauge, oil temp and a clock.
But I can't seem to find what type of oil drain plug I need, or what hose to read the vacuum from. Am I just using search wrong or hasn't a clear thread about this been made yet?

i sell a 3 hole plate on the D1R site.
third gauge for me was first a vacuum gauge, and then when i supercharged, a vacuum/boost gauge.

Flash, where are you finding the combo
vacuum/boost gauge? I looked here: http://www.egauges.com/VDO-Cockpit-Black...21001.hbut can't seem to find the one you meant? Also, which oil temp gauge
?

When I was in Grad School, the computer folks at Irvine would reply to queries with "RTFM". Nothing else. We eventually came to understand that R was for Read, and M was for Manual; you can fill in the rest.

lol - not at all. bugs me a bit though when all somebody has to do is click a link on a site, and instead just wants it all done for them. that one was pretty darned easy. i probably just should have said "search the site".

Hmmm, I thought I was searching the site for a combo boost/vacuum gauge
that would have boost on one side and vacuum
on the other. I saw several individual boost and a vacuum gauge(s)
but didn't see one that appeared to do both. Maybe I misunderstood what this gauge
does/and shows... The oil guage also had numerous choices, so I figured I'd get your expertise
on that as well... I'll f/up with you offline to get a clearer understanding. Thanks
for taking
a few minutes to help clarify.
