Indoor Car Cover
#1

I'm lucky that my car will never be parked outside for any length of time, but I still want a nice cover for when it's tucked away in the garage. I have been searching the interweb for suitable covers. I found a few nice ones that are clingy and soft and designed for indoor use.

But then I stumbled upon this photo. What cover is this and where can I get one? I haven't seen any covers with any 968 specific logos and this one looks perfect.

I've been looking for the same one! Only oneI've seen which does a similar piping is out of some car cover place in the UK but no embossing or 968 logo. Do you recall where you found the pic? - Bo

i wish i could figure out a way for the car to look better after taking the cover off than before putting it on, without first having to wipe down the car completely before putting it on. if i don't do that, i get hundreds of tiny scratches when i pull the cover off, and still have to rub it down. i've tried the parachute material covers, felt covers, twill covers. none of them are any better than any other. none of them do a very good job in the rain either, leaving foggy spots in the wax. i suppose if i had to park the car outside, it would be helpful in protecting the interior and canvas, but that's about it. so, i drag one along for road trips, but other than that, they sit on a shelf.

the nature of having a dark color i suppose, and on top of that, i had it color sanded, so there is no orange peel. looks great clean, but very hard to keep that way.

I snagged that picture from the Porsche 968 Facebook page. I wonder if there is a way to find out who posted it.

Here's the link:

I just sent a message to the creator of that page. That person apparently uploaded the photo. I'll let you know if I get a response.

Here's a link for a custom satin stretch car cover for the 968. You can choose your colors and it says that a logo is an additional charge.

I have a garage were I park my vehicles. Now while I admit that the cars can get some dust on them there are so many products out there,Griots Speed Shine for one, that can quickly remove this dust without scratching the car that I don't use a cover anymore. But the real reason is that when I enter the garage and see my cars I always get a good feeling. Plus it gives me an opportunity to think about either driving one or doing something to one of the cars. Why give that up? I didn't buy my car to cover it up. To each his own.

You clearly must not have any pets with access to the garage ....
