I got this email from a craigslist ad I placed for my old wide screen TV.
Hey
Thanks for your response to my mail. I hope it is in good condition like it states, I love to come view it but I'm not chanced to do that right now.
I'll like you to remove the advert from web and consider this item that its sold, I'll be paying via Certified check. I need your name and Physical Address along with your phone number to issue the payment I will like you to know that you will not be responsible for shipping i will have my mover come over as soon as you have the check,Pls notice that the payment for the items will be overnight to your address asap VIA UPS SERVICE and i will get back to you with tracking number once my secretary made the payment out to you. i would appreciate that you will help save this for me till the payment arrives to your address and as it will save me some extra cost ***********Please kindly keep others buyer off*********** Regards
Any ideas on how to best string this thing along. I hate these guys.
I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

I think this is too small for the cops and judging by the weak command of the English language, I'm guessing this is a out of country thing.

YES. These guys normally get away with scamming the elderly out of thousands of dollars. Wasting their time pursuing me could be saving someone else. Could be...

I usually don't read this stuff, but I clicked and got drawn in. I had to google some of the acronymns to figure out what people were saying. Here are some of the NSX Prime thread "Cliff's Notes":
The first two pages are the stuff of legend. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/laugh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> Must read. You just can't see it coming. The next ten pages or so are a lot of back-slapping, then it gets good again, with more "ownership" and some excellent "you've been owned" clip-art. So many different people jumped in and got a piece of the scammer, it was like a scammer "perfect storm". Great lesson to everyone to be truthful and not embellish too much. It's a small world....
