Front Trim Cover coming soon
#1

the Front Trim Cover piece for the Supercharger Kit will be coming soon

this piece will cover the front area, much as the factory item that went around the airbox did - it will go from one side of the car to the other, and be made of very similar material as the factory piece, with much the same appearance - it runs around the supercharger and airbox, but covers the hoses and such - it will attach just as the factory piece did, to the same points, using the same plastic nuts - for cars that did not originally have that piece, a necessary bracket kit will also be available

i will have pricing information later today - availability possibly by the end of next week, definitely by the time i get back from italy

have been waiting patiently for this since the initial s/c install (to the extent that i was willing to beta-test the prototype on an interim basis)

lol - almost there with the numbers - grinding away at the plastics people now - this high temp stuff is pricey

Ah, I thought the plastic model you showed my was just to get the forming right and it was to be stamped out of sheet metal. Too compicated to have it bent on a brake?

i don't know what you were looking at - i only have flat prototypes - there is no formed model - there never was either - i tried bending a piece of plastic, but threw it away as soon as i failed at it - i had a 3D drawing made up of a formed one, but it was WAY too expensive to make - never planned on sheet metal either

Misuse of the work forming . Yes, the piece you showed me was flat. I assumed you were just making out of plastic as it was easier to cut and melt back together until you were satisfied on the shape and that you would just have it mass produced in sheet metal like the black piece you have above the rad in the kit.

I'll shut up now

ok - boy, this material is expensive - sorry guys - i just couldn't do any better and still use material that could withstand the heat - ABS starts melting at 194 degrees F - between the cost of the material, the shipping cost, and the setup charge for cutting it, it got really pricey really fast

the cover will be a flat piece that will come with the turn-nuts to hold it down in the factory locations that the OEM front cover used - it will be sold for $175

there will also be an optional bracket kit - it will be the OEM brackets that can either be tacked in, or screwed in (your choice) - they will be primered so you can paint them whatever color you want, and will come with the clips - there will be a template to show you where to mount it - this kit is $25

all should be available when i get back from italy
