With all the aluminum on these engines, be careful in seal removal and use a seal puller. I had to modify one I bought to get it to fit. If you scratch the surface against which the seal fits, you'll get leaks. I carefully work a hole in the old seal and insert the lip of the seal puller and carefully pull it out. Easy with right tools.
Then I use a large socket that fits the seal surface to carefully (again) pound it in. Or, you can buy large washers that clear and carefully tap it in. Worked for me. Be careful of the aluminum surfaces. Easy to scratch.
