Innovative Prodcucts by Arktech *PICS*
#1

Hey guys I wanted to share some of the images sent to by Arktech. Not all of the images loaded in the larger format but here is what they sent me. (see below) I am working on a program to bring them on a sponsor in the near future. They are in the final stages of completing their website to display and sell their full line of 968 Products. Some of the cool items they have developed for their Race inspired 968 that runs on the pro-circuit along side many of the exotic manufacturers we all know. They run their 968 in the GT300 class these cars do travel the world racing in the Super GT Series.

I am excited to get the Arktech race team participating soon. I have invited them to join and participate. So hopefully we see them soon!

lots of cool stuff - definitely some things to look into - glad to see those guys are still around - they are really developing some interesting things

968Z - the clear lenses look a little different in shape than ours in that shot - like maybe they are those 993? lenses people talked about before that leave a gap or something - thoughts?

94 Midnight Metallic Blue Cab Porsche 968 w/deviating cashmere/black interior and WAY too many mods to list - thanks to eric for creating www.968forums.com

Cool stuff. Hopefully it is not as brutally expensive as I've seen it listed previously. Some of the stuff looks familiar - the engine mounts look like the supermounts as sold by Lindsey and the flywheel is awful fidanza looking.

BTW, from the supergt link it doesn't look like they are racing the 968 anymore. Their boxster and GT3 look impressive.

I would bet they are 993 lenses. If you are making your own bumper cover then you can make the opening to fit the 993 lenses with no gap. Maybe?

I want the rocker panels! That is the only thing that bugs me about the stock body is those wavy ill fitting rockers <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/mad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Here is a link explaining FRP/Fiber Reinforced Plastic vs. DCC/Dry Carbon and others. Arktec may be doing something different with their materials but this in the ballpark.

Eric, you're probably right, but I'll try to find out. There is a company in Europe that was supposed to produce 968 clear lenses this month (got the info from 968.UK). They are supposed to e-mail me when they become available. I'll be getting two sets. I'll post the ino when I receive it.

Yea this stuff is certainly differant to the gear from GT Racing,

However

I am tempted as I am going for carbon front wings anyway but these are double the price

I wonder if they are double the quality?

for what it's worth, that's what they told me on the phone when i was thinking about this before i painted my car - they said it was carbon layed over fiberglass - they said it was just a cosmetic thing, and that it actually weighed more than the fiberglass units

Can we have pricing for dry carbon front wings please Eric?

Also what would shipping be from Japan to the UK on two fenders?

How about a group buy to get the cost down on those fenders?

10 people should make a differance on a product like that
