Great catch!

I'm sure several others had puzzled looks on the faces , as I did, when I saw the "Fo, fo, fo, fo, fo..." heading!

I knew what he was referring to immediately since I knew how many miles were on the car when it left me a few months ago! I also do similar silly stuff. Not from my 968 but from my company truck.

I just rolled over 55555 in the 911SC but didn't have a camera handy.

Allen, how many miles have you put on since you purchased it?

It had just about 43,000 on it when I bought it, so that's 1,444 miles in two months.

Although NOT a 968 reading, I thought it was interesting to post...

* note that the outside temperature cooperated!

This is from my wife's Honda CRV.

Dave, you need to find a cure for your "Island" inferiority complex with regards to us "mainlanders"!

The picture was taken in southern Manitoba, after crossing back into Canada from North Dakota. We recently drove through the States to visit my folks in Winnipeg. We stopped in at Yellowstone and also Mt Rushmore. There we "stumbled" across the motorcycle event in Sturgis, SD. WOW I could not believe the amount of motorcycles that come out for that event! It was impressive, even if the the majority were Harleys - "twice the price for half the performance".

Not the car, but the truck.

So, I hop in the truck yesterday morning, throw it in gear, look down, and lo and behold it's exactly 38,000.0, and ended up that way in the driveway after my drive home from work the night before... What are the odds of that?

365 days in a year... but take away weekend and 2 weeks vacation and you're left with 246 days in which you parked the truck in the driveway. There's a 1/10000 chance of stopping on a whole number interval at the 1000s level on the odometer each time. 246/10000 = 0.0246, or 1/40.6. So we can expect it to happen once every 40 years.

Or was that a rhetorical question?
