[quote name='Ave' date='Mar 13 2005, 08:38 PM']Uh, Grant ... you may have gotten the wrong impression. That's not Flash's car in the post above by Greimann - I think Dave pulled the pic from a dismantler's site. Flash received a dented left front fender. Sad, yes, but not catastrophic like the picture above.

Just want to be sure you weren't left thinking Flash totalled his car.

Greimann got me on that one, and April 1 is not even here yet!

I thought that Greimann's post was an image of Flash's car.

Flash - what a pain! Looks almost exactly like my parking lot damage from late January. Like mine, there is only slight body damage and no broken lights, damaged body seams, or other more complex hardware. Would have been a lot worse if it was two feet forward or back.

Don't think too harshly of the kid - which is not to say that they do not have to pay the full costs - he is probably mortified and could wind up paying the price in ways adults never have to (loss of car/sky high insurance/grounding/privileges/etc.). Just remember that we were all 17 once, having fun without a whole lot of thought to the consequences.

no worries - not going after him for revenge or anything - just not inclined to do anything less than get my car back the way it was with as little inconvenience to me as possible - i'm kind of done with that at this point

So bodywork is out of the question - they have to cut the fender off and replace?

cut it??? i'm going to take a closer look, but i think it just unbolts - it's the fender, not the quarterpanel

Congrats. That must feel good. My accomplishment today was to take off the snow (that's right - SNOW) tires and mount the 18" wheels with the Yokohamas. Now all I need to really enjoy the mid-May TracQuest DE event is the roll bar. Can't wait for further info.

I have always wondered why no one put these wheels on a 968 before..good job... THey look spectacular on Vipers and Vettes...so I imagine they will look sweet on the 968

That's lots of rubber on good-looking wheels. They should be perfect for your "toy". For my daily driver, they'd be a nightmare to keep clean.

actually should be pretty easy - that's why i chose them - easy access for cleaning - clearcoated brushed aluminum spokes and polished rims

this is where rejex is really going to get a chance to show off - this is what it was developed for after all

I have Bridgestone S-03s on my 928. Great high speed tire and great on the raceway...but too noisy for me. I must be getting really old and picky! I think the problem is that all Z-rated tires are probably relatively noisy due to their sidewall and rubber composition construction. That's my thought anyway.
