Flash,

Have a great trip ! Forget about all that mad scientist stuff you have in your head for awhile and kick back and relax ! bring back some good pics maybe a few 968s. Enjoy !

Tamathumper,

You must have been wearing Mephistos ! My favorite sandals. My girlfriend makes fun of them though

Flash,

With 2 grandchildren at home, we decided to go somewhere local to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. So, off to Canada and beautiful Niagara Falls! Most of the time we were wet from the tour rides but really enjoyed all the attractions. Last time we were there was 20 yrs ago.

Wish you and your wife a safe and fun filled trip!

looks like we lost out on the evora - bologna was the only place listing it, and they stopped being a hertz location in march

bummer

Looks like it's back to the Fiat Panda. I'd get the 1.2L as your a sporty kind of guy and you'll really appreciate the additional power over the 1.1L

not sure what we are going to do at the moment - we are changing a few things about our trip, so the car may become a lot less of an issue

Perhaps you can rent one of those gorgeous Lancias that Caribinieri drive around. My brother had a great little turbo diesel Audi when he was living in Florence. Responsive turbo diesel, 5 speed manual, and more than fast enough even on the Autostrada.

not really worried about fast as much as just fun - we had a fiat punto last time and it was just about the worst piece of crap i've ever driven

working on alternative scheduling right now that might reduce the opportunities for fun driving anyway, so not too worried one way or the other - on this trip we are spending most of our time doing stuff and not driving
