968 Cab sited in Placerville area
#1

Crusin' the foothills today I whip around a corner and see a silver 968 cab. coming my way, I waved and flipped a Uey, caught up to it and spoke with the driver. She owns a local winery and has invited all 968 owners "in for a glass". Nice Lady. She and her husband own IlGioiello winery in Fiddletown near Placerville. (Sacramento going towards Tahoe. Quite a shock to see an unexpected 968 lookin' back at me.

I grew up in Amador County. Great roads. Look for Sutter Creek-Volcano Rd running east out of downtown Sutter Creek. One of the best roads of all time.

We have some nice ones here in NC too, but I miss the Gold Country. Good wineries in the Plymouth/Shenandoah Valley/Fiddletown area.

RPM,

Thanks for the tip! I'll cruise that road and check it out. I found a great road to Grizzly Flats. Almost perfect. Only when you get there you have to turn around and come back via the same road. Hope I don't meet the Clem and Bueford tag team up there, who is both Father and brother to his children .
