I'm trying to run a bunch of wires and a vacuum/boost pressure line down the A pillar. There has been one major problem. The fish wire (AKA coat hanger) can be inserted in the A pillar through a half inch access hole I drilled all of the way down to an opening under the hatch release switch in the driver's footwell. When I try to pull the wire bundle, I can only get about a foot before the passage becomes too narrow and then I get jammed. There is too much wire to pass between the A pillar and the dash. Currently the pressure line is there and I might be able to get the twisted pair Knocksense wires down the same path. That leaves me with the Split second ARM-1 cable and 2 each 4x20ga conductor cables for the lighting, power, EGT, and IAT. All I have to do is find a way around the choke point.
Being that I don't have X-ray vision, some pictures would help. A picture Graham posted a few weeks ago appears below. The interior area I'm interested in has been boxed in red. Routing of the wiring has been sketched so you can see what I'm trying to do. What I would like is a closer shot of this area to include the blank area in the red box. So you guys who have stripped all of the carpet and insulation could do me a huge favor by taking this picture.
Then another shot looking at the same area from the outside. This requires that the lady's fender (wing) be removed. I'm willing to pull the nose and fender, but not before I ask everyone on the chance that there just happens to be a nudie 968 sitting in their garage.
TIA!
