Ferrari
#1

Was talking to Flash this morning about this, prompted by having seen yet another Ferrari on the shoulder of a highway being loaded on a flatbed truck.. In the last three decades I spent in CA, I've noticed a lot of cars
broken down by the side of the road / being towed, but I see more Ferraris in that predicament than any other single make. It's not that I pay more attention to them just because they're Ferraris and forget about all the other cars, I actually cannot say that I've seen more than a couple of Lexus-es ( or, is the plural "Lexi" ) , or BMWs, or Porsches, or Fords or whatnot..in any given period of time. However, not so for Ferraris - at least three or four tow truck candidate sightings every year .

What's up with that ?! Must be the air here that does not agree with the car

I've gotten pretty familiar with the Ferrari marque in the last year or so and I think the problem with them is the simple fact that when they breakdown on the road, there's little or nothing you can do yourself. Practically all of the time they need to go to a shop for proper repairs as you can't really get to anything without removing belly pans, covers, etc. and without a good jack and/or a lift, you're dead in the water until help arrives. So that's the reason for seeing them on the side of the road...now, for why they break...that's a different story!
