Ferrari 612
#1

Well guys this summer I am going to cross the threshold into 30somethingness.

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately about the next 10 years of my life and where I want to be at 40.

Then it hit me - behind the wheel of one of these!

man oh man it's my favorite F-car.

which one's that? Never seen that one before.

but see, I will probably have a family at that point . . . I just can't get over the thought of a 4-seater F-car! Honey let's take the kids on a road trip. . . in the FERRARI. . .

Yeah plenty of Ferraris out there to drool over. The 612 really matches my personality I think best though. . . kind of like the 968 it's off the beaten path. Not the first thing you think of when you say Ferrari. . . or Porsche. . . I love it.

I think it is. I was in the factory museum last year and took about 500 pictures. It is hard to remember what all of them are. Every street car and race car they ever made is represented in the museum. I drove all the way across italy and spent a whole day in there, much to my wife's consternation, but it was worth it. Not allowed to touch anything though unfortunately. My wife took this shot with me beside it to show just how short the car is.

pretty sure it was - I saw one live in the dealership about 10 min. from my house.

unreal ! IMHO, much classier than the Enzo whose lines are waaay too exaggerated, the performance difference between the two is negligible ( in real life terms ), and at half the price it's practically a bargain... $ 500,000 .

they also had the F 50 GT1 ( one of only two in the world ! ) in the showroom, right next to the Maserati MC12 GT car - another mind numbing machine.

Yeah, that's a F50. OMG what an incredible machine. Ferrari of San Diego had one earlier this year and it was listed for sale at $660K. Pricey, but exclusive.

Porsche

well , hardcore porsche vs. ferrari works in similar fashion to being married; you're faithful to the woman you love ( a.k.a your "daily driver" ) but can appreciate the beauty of other exotic makes & models, nonetheless...and when you have your midlife crisis your wife will totally understand if your appreciation gives rise ( no pun intended ) to a "test drive" opportunity..in one of those models . Not sure about switching the entire "car" though...

Ok, I suppose it doesn't really work that way.. dang it !
