Factory Rear Wiper Delete
#1

Looking for the "plug" that does in the hatch since I've removed the rear wiper. I have a temporary one for now but factory item is what I really would like.

All suggestions welcome!

Thanks

Had no idea there was factory wiper delete plug ...?? I presume you checked with the dealer and it was either NLA, or they wanted a ridiculous price for it ?

Ebay has both the plastic and the metal ones, around $20.

what are you going to do with the wiper unit? Is it complete with all parts? Did it work when you took it out? Would you sell it?

There's a guy on eBay (from Greece!) who sells a nice aluminum one, with a few color and shape options. I bought one a year or so ago - it's good quality.

I got the same one from Greece...nice quality and keeps the water out. A little pricey if you ask me (just a plug) but it works and looks good.

Austin or biosurver 1: the one from Greece looks very nice; do you happen to remember the dimensions you ordered?

I like that he can make it in white since my car is white; OEM black would not look as good, I think. My car came with body color (white) rear spoiler; now if I could find a reasonable way to get the hatch trim painted white instead of the glossy black...

ds968: I haven't checked with the dealer; I was told by my mechanic that they are NLA but guess I should check. For some reason, he says the size of the hole in the glass is different than the one in the 944 hatch.

willamoss: I do have the working wiper that I took off but I don't plan to sell it. My 968 (new to me in the last month) is in great shape and all original so I plan to keep all of the parts. the car is getting set up for street and track use and I find the wiper motor interferes with items I want to put in the hatch for a trip (and I never used it anyway on my 944S2). But who knows down the road.
